Honnibrook Craft Meadery is a locally owned establishment, specializing in mead rather than traditional beer, and sources its remarkable honey from Colorado Springs and Fort Lupton. Mead, or honey wine, is the oldest fermented beverage known to humanity. The meadery proudly offers 12 meads on tap—8 standard options and 4 seasonal or special releases.
Owned by Michael Fagan and DJ Kurtz, Honnibrook features a tasting room with over 20 meads available for sampling, all of which are naturally gluten-free. They are also the official craft mead supplier for the Colorado Renaissance Festival. Notably, their meads are fermented using beer yeast instead of wine yeast, contributing to their unique flavors. The meadery has garnered numerous awards in wine competitions, highlighting the quality of their products.
